We apologize for the inconvenience but Red Dog Grill will be closed today.
It is in the effort of full transparency we wanted to inform you, our customers, that we have had an employee test positive for Covid-19. While not required by the Public Health Department nor the State of Illinois, we wanted to inform you that we have decided to keep Red Dog Grill closed until further notice. Even though our employee that tested positive for Covid-19 had not worked in a few days before we were notified, we followed protocol by removing staff thru our closure, we notified employees, boat owners, and homeowners and started to conduct conversations with staff members. It is through these conversations and unofficial tracing we are working under the pretense or assumption that everyone could be positive and a carrier of the virus. We have found working under this precaution to be the safest mindset we need to use when making this major decision.
• Please note we are also working through cancellations of events as we see necessary but assume for the next week no events are occurring at Red Dog Grill.
• We are also working with our staff on testing options for both safety and peace of mind. We recommend the same to you…if you have ANY concerns or feel you would like to be tested you should start with a call to your personal physician.
• In advance of reopening, we want to do the deep clean of RDG as an extra precautionary measure. We are in contact with Serv Pro a certified company that does the Covid-19 cleaning. Due to their schedule, we have yet to secure an exact date and time frame of when the work will be completed which has also played into our decision.
• Lastly, we are adding additional air conditioning to the RDG kitchen and that will be resolved quickly which will also help the employees return to a better work environment.
